I have been fascinated with film my whole life . . . probably since I saw Steven Spielberg's E.T. as a kid. But it's not a general fascination. I love the way that film, be it a short video or a full-length feature, can move you. It can move you to think, to ponder, and even to desire change. It has the power to inform and teach on a visual canvas. It is very powerful.

Starting my career journey as an aerospace manufacturing engineer was no accident - I had been enamored with aviation from childhood as well. But having had many once-in-a-lifetime experiences on teams designing next generation fighter aircraft, I decided to turn my passion for film into a career. I found immediately that there was an amazing fusion between the two pursuits, allowing me to excel at both the technical and  creative aspects of filmmaking simultaneously. I have never looked back, still loving every minute of making stories come to life with moving pictures.

On a personal note, I have been happily married to my amazingly supportive wife for 25+ years and have an adult son who writes music for a living and is a brilliant pianist (you can find out more about him at https://www.davidmccaulley.com/).
